LeFrak Center at Lakeside · Prospect Park Harvest Festival
Haunted Hotelat Lakeside
Check in… if you dare.
The centerpiece of Prospect Park's first Harvest Festival: a 7,680-square-foot hotel that's taken a turn for the undead. One front desk. Checkout not guaranteed.
The Experience
A hotel that stopped taking reservations years ago.
Guests check into what looks, at first, like an ordinary hotel — until the lobby lights start to flicker. Built specifically for Lakeside by Abracadabra NYC, New York's haunted-house specialists since 1981, the Haunted Hotel is a fully themed, 7,680-square-foot walkthrough moving guests through a series of interconnected hotel environments: darkened corridors, live scare actors, and controlled special effects the whole way.
The experience is recommended for guests 13 and older, though it's open to all ages at a guardian's discretion. Sensitive guests and young children should plan to enjoy the rest of the Harvest Festival instead — every bit of that is designed to be family-friendly. See Beyond the Hotel below.
Parts of the walkthrough wind through open-air courtyards and uncovered rooftop sections, so dress for the weather. It's a little easier to take in daylight, when you can see what's coming, and ramps up once the sun goes down — book a window after sundown if you want it at its most intense.
Check-In & Tickets
How entry works.
Entry to the Haunted Hotel is timed and sold by the window, not the minute. Here's exactly how it works.
Reserve a 30-minute window
Tickets are sold for a 30-minute arrival window, not a fixed entry time — arrive any time within your window.
8 max per group
Groups are capped at 8 guests, first come, first served among your window's ticket holders — buy tickets for just your party, no need to fill a full group of 8.
Walk-ups welcome
Same-day walk-up tickets are available as space allows — advance windows are recommended, especially on weekends.

Pick Your Check-In Date
Select a night below to open that date on our box office, where you'll choose your exact 30-minute window and party size (1–8 guests).
Part of the hotel is open-air, and earlier windows run a little lighter while the sun's still up. For the most intense version, book a window after sundown.
Grayed-out dates are outside the Haunted Hotel run (Oct 9 – Nov 1) or fall on a closed night (Tue/Wed, Oct 13–14 & 20–21). Selecting an active date opens Ticket Tailor in a new tab.
Want both? The Haunted Hotel and the All-Access Pass are booked separately — grab your timed Haunted Hotel entry above, then add the All-Access Pass for the rest of the festival. Keeping them separate helps us keep the Haunted Hotel from selling past capacity. Food & drink and additional pumpkins are available on site.
Beyond the Hotel
The rest of the Harvest Festival is all treats, no tricks.
The Haunted Hotel is the only part of Lakeside built to scare you. Everything around it — across the splash pad, the roof, and the rink — is designed for the whole family, little ones included.
Tarot Reading is sold on site only and isn't included with the All-Access Pass.
Seasonal food and drink are available throughout the festival at Duck Island Café and supplemental stands.

Know Before You Go
Frequently asked questions.
How scary is the Haunted Hotel?
Recommended for guests 13 and older. Expect blackout corridors, sudden scares, live actors, and close-quarters spaces. It's open to all ages, but it's not designed for young children.
Is the Haunted Hotel fully indoors?
Mostly, but not entirely — part of the walkthrough runs through open-air courtyards and uncovered rooftop sections, so dress for the weather. It's also a bit less intense while there's still daylight out and ramps up after sundown, so pick a window to match what your group wants.
Do I need to buy a ticket in advance?
Advance entry windows are strongly recommended, especially on weekends. Walk-up tickets are available the day of, as space allows.
Do I need a group of 8 to buy tickets?
No — 8 is the maximum group size, not the minimum. Buy tickets for any party size, from 1 guest up to 8. Smaller parties are simply grouped with other ticket holders from the same window to fill each group.
What if I arrive late within my window?
Groups of up to 8 are sent in throughout your full 30-minute window — arrive any time within it and you'll be sent in with the next available group, first come, first served.
Is the rest of the festival scary too?
No. The Haunted Hotel is the only attraction built to scare. The Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze, and Yard & Family Games are all family-friendly, all ages.
Who built the Haunted Hotel?
The LeFrak Center at Lakeside partnered with Abracadabra NYC — producing haunted attractions, costumes, and immersive Halloween experiences in New York City since 1981 — on concept, design, and fabrication.
